ABOUT JEFF DIVINE
In the 1970s Jeff Divine was surf photography's top dog and as Senior Staff Photographer at Surfer he held the key to getting your pic in the number one magazine of the day. Surfers would clammer to get in front of Jeff's lens. Born in La Jolla CA, Divine relocated to Oahu in '71 and during his decade residency helped thrust the North Shore to the forefront of surfing's consciousness with his stunning and dramatic photography. In 1981 he moved back to So Cal becoming Photo Editor at both Surfer and The Surfer’s Journal, remaining a devoted and relevant fixture in surf culture until well into the new millennium. His contribution has been realised in a stack of classic books and inclusion in Huntington Beach's Surfing Walk of Fame and The San Diego Surfing Hall of Fame.
